Hippolyte JAUBERT (1798-1874), botanist,... - Lot 37 - Conan Belleville Hôtel d'Ainay
Hippolyte JAUBERT (1798-1874), botanist, founder of the Botanical Society of France, member of the Academy of Sciences. Letter signed [to Léon Dufour (1780-1865), physician and naturalist]. No one has better described the charm that attaches to the memory of a herbarium than you have: so do not be surprised by my insistence. I have at heart to perpetuate in mine the impressions that the session of Bordeaux left me. I regret not having been able to join you this year in the Alps, but I have been told of the wonders of your green old age [...] ".
