Framing pen on a bluish paper mount (slightly insolate) Top right in the pen Miss Gerard H. 22,7 - L. 17,7 cm The annotation in the pen Mlle gérard refers in all likelihood to Marguerite Gérard (Grasse 1761 - Paris 1837), pupil and collaborator of her brother-in-law Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732 - 1806), author of The Happy Mother in the museum of St. Petersburg (Cf.
