BRAZIL. - 3 letters addressed to Malmont de Curnieu, diplomat, in Paris and in Brazil. The first one from M. de Cazotte, diplomat who had to go to Chile, embarked on board La Bonite, commanded by Captain Vaillant, who made a scientific voyage in South America, in the Pacific islands, in China in 1836 and 1837 (2 ½ pp. in-8. Toulon, January 23, 1836; letter written at the time of the departure of the Bonite for its voyage). Another letter from M. de Cazotte (Rio de Janeiro, December 25, 1831. 2 pp. in-4. On his appointment to Peru and the affairs of South America. "Rio de Janeiro goes so so, as the English say; trade is in agony there, the Ouvidor street is very sad []"). Letter addressed to Malmont de Curvieu then posted in Brazil (Paris, May 23, 1828. 3 pp. in-4. Address on the back. Evocation of their respective trips). - Brazil. Printed 2 pp. in-folio, 41 x 26 cm (Bahia, typographia de Moreira, 1831): "Preços correntes da Bahia": details of the current prices of a multitude of goods sold in Bahia. A copy of the Basque magazine published in Uruguay Euskal Erria, revista decenal Baskongada del Uruguay (1921) is attached. And a letter from a Dutch merchant written from Cayenne in 1817 (3 pp. in-4).
