DOUBS. - Rare diploma of the Free Society of Medicine of Besançon. One of the very first diploma dated 15 pluviôse year 11 of this society founded in frimaire of the same year. Signed by Cusenier (president) and Collard (secretary). Red wax stamp. - Letter from Captain Bernard, president of the Committee of the National Union of the Non-Commissioned Officers of the French Army of Franche-Comté to the aviators Costes and Bellonte, congratulating them for their exploit of the first crossing of the North Atlantic East-West and awarding them the title of honorary member. - Bundle of 6 manuscripts from the 18th century concerning a bell founder in Pontarlier (+ letter from this same bell founder to the Intendant, 1755, about the casting of 3 bells for the inhabitants of Levier) + a letter from a lawyer of Besançon 1768. - Set of miscellaneous documents, mainly concerning Besançon: revolutionary passport (1792), military leave (1728), 2 certificates of non-contagious disease issued by the royal city of Besançon (1763-1766), certificate of the brotherhood of the Cross of Besançon (1785), 2 letters signed by the marshal of Langeron (1789-1790).
