Preserved envelope with letterhead of the Zoological Society of France. Long letter about the succession of Carl Vogt to the chair of zoology at the University of Geneva. He refuses to be a candidate and proposes his friend the zoologist and malacologist Louis Joubin (1891-1935), "a man of many talents. For the last 10 years, see the archives of experimental zoology, the Bulletin & Memoirs of the Zoological Society of France (you will find them in the Museum of Natural History) []; he is intelligent, active, a hard worker and will make a great impact on the chair of zoology of your University []; of all the young people, he is the most outstanding in France.
