Beautiful and rare 18th century document, entirely engraved from the Masonic lodge of Saint-Amable [de Riom, Auvergne]. Convocation, still blank, to the reception of a new brother. "You are asked to come to assist N.V.M. There will be Lodge. And in case your business dispenses you from coming, you are requested to return this stamped invitation to the signatory at the latest on the second day of its reception, without you being required to be present. This Auvergne Lodge, to which Lafayette may have belonged, was founded in 1754.
