A beautiful and rare set concerning Sir Simon de Cauvin (and his family), a native of La Roque-d'Antéron, in particular the granting of the title of Count Palatine by Pope Benedict XIV. Patent of Count Palatine granted and signed by Paschal Aquaviva d'Aragon (Avignon, 1744) + French translation. Brief from Pope Benedict XIV (1750) + letters patent from King Louis XV. Marriage authorization from Cardinal de Belloy (with beautiful vignette), 1765. Religious patent signed by Fr. Andreas de Monte Aureo (Jerosolymis, 1733, large seal under paper), etc.
