Aviation and militaria. Important archive of Guy and Charles Michelet. 2 boxes to file. - Archives Guy Michelet, aviation journalist, director of the newspaper "Les Ailes". Mainly from the 40's: model of the magazine Continents (with original drawings, 1948), numerous typescripts and manuscripts on aviation for aviation magazines, original drawings by Robert Roux for Aviation magazine (Indian ink), aircraft photo negatives, manuscripts by Guy Michelet on the first French national aviation congress, the bombing of German military objectives by the Allied aviation, English diploma for "progression of modern science", typescripts by Maurice Noguès, drafts of letters and articles (some with very nice ink drawings of airplanes), dossier on gliding illustrated with a series of fine original ink drawings, magazines, gouaches by Guy Michelet, typescripts of radio broadcasts on aviation (1944), collection of 4 Japanese prints published by Japan Air Lines, fully drawn model of a magazine dedicated to aviation (drawings of an air meeting in Mont-de-Marsan etc.). - Archives Charles Michelet, reserve officer of the colonial troops, years 10 to 40: numerous studies (manuscripts and typescripts) of military strategies - in particular for the use of tanks (from 1917), carried out for newspapers and magazines, sent to officers, with a few letters from journalists, politicians, etc. Also included is his WWI veteran's file, with large photos of his regiment from the Saint-Maixent military training centre; a file on a project for the constitution of the French Empire, on which he worked a great deal.
