Maurice Pic (1866-1957), entomologist, beetle specialist. 5 L.A.S. and 3 A.S. manuscripts to the entomologist Alfred Chobaut (1860-1926). Les Gueneaux, Digoin, 1892-1898. 25 pp. in-4 in-8 and in-12. Some tears. Long letters of reproaches, under the pretext of being "good friends", addressed to Chobaut, concerning divergences of expertise and attributions relating to insects, reproaches of treason, silence and professional slander. He recounts a trip to the Dauphiné for an "entomological excursion", invites Chobaut and his wife to stay with him and sends him his publications. Two manuscripts of poetry entitled "Souvenir entomologique", and "L'Entomologiste - Espèce et variétés", these two texts having been read "at the banquet of the Entomological Society of France on 27 February 1892" and an ironic and serious peace contract between Pico and Chobaut with the aim of maintaining "cordial entomological relations", (December 1896).
