EFFEL, Jean (1908-1982), press cartoonist... - Lot 43 - Conan Belleville Hôtel d'Ainay
EFFEL, Jean (1908-1982), press cartoonist and illustrator. 3 L.A.S. to the philosopher Emmanuel Berl (1892-1976) and the singer and composer Mireille (1906-1996). Paris] and Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), circa 1954-1955. 6 pp. in-4. Folds, paper a little yellowed. But this problem, which is the problem of our collaboration, is not solved, whereas I thought it was. It's high time it was. If I've understood correctly (I've taken the time) Mireille - putting things in the best possible way - only considers this film as a by-product of her songs, of two or three of her songs. To tell the truth, I now think that Mireille doesn't believe in this film, or - always putting things in the best possible light - that it's the least of her worries. If that's the case, and I'm afraid it is, Mireille's obviously not the collaborator I was hoping for. Perhaps yo
