The break takes place during the International Congress of Writers for the Defense of Culture (Paris, June 21-25, 1935) in August, Breton distributes the text "From the time that the surrealists were right", where he explains that the Russian Revolution and the communist regime have led to a glorification of the family and the fatherland.
