Orne. Scroll from the end of the 15th century, with 2 manual signatures. 26 x 16 cm. Small collector's stamp. Complete transcription attached. Foundation in honour of Sainte-Marguerite, made by Jean Batherel, parish priest in the church of Sainte Scollace, Châtellenie d'Essay (Orne), December 8, 1495. The parishioners, following the donation of a field made by the parish priest to the treasury of their church, are obliged to maintain "ung pewter dish serving as a candleholder hanging in front of the ostel of Saint Margaret with a Virgin".
