[CARTOGRAPHY] Georges-Louis Le Rouge (circa 17121 - circa 1790) CANADA and LOUISIANE by Le Rouge, engineer and geographer (1755) Sheet size: 77 x 56 cm The map is folded in four Back soiled and dusty Among the cartographer's most notable works is the map entitled "Canada et Louisiane", published in 1755, which shows the British and French colonies in North America at the start of the War of the Conquest (1754-1760). Le Rouge also published a series of atlases and nautical charts, which were highly prized by navigators and explorers of the time.
