François-Rupert CARABIN (1862-1932) "Loïe Fuller", model created c. 1896-1897. Proof in bronze with brown patina and shaded medallion. Period cast without founder's mark or stamp (slightly depatinated). Signed on the base, marked B on the reverse and numbered 22. H. 22 cm Provenance: former Marthe Nicolardot collection, now in the family. History: The series of six bronze Loïe Fullers was presented at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1897 by Carabin under n°189. Bibliography: G.
