Chevreul wishes to discuss with his correspondent "the military service of the Muséum d'Histoire naturelle". - 2 L.A.S. addressed to Dr. Rayer. S.l. and Paris, January 4, 1843 and August 4, 1844. 2 pp. in-8. Printed Muséum letterhead. Addresses on versos of second leaf, postmarks and an EC numeral cancel on blue paper. Chevreul invites anatomo-pathologist, physiologist and dermatologist Pierre RAYER, zoologist, malacologist and ichthyologist Achille VALENCIENNES (1794-1865) and chemist Théophile-Jules PELOUZE (1807-1867), etc., to dinner. - Entrance ticket for the Muséum d'Histoire naturelle, for four people, woodcut on blue paper, bears the title "Muséum d'Histoire naturelle - Serres neuves et Orangerie". 12.5 x 16.2 cm. Chevreul's autograph signature in brown ink.
