Quebec, 1911, on the letterhead of the Society. On the preparation of the 1st Congress of the French Language in Canada. "We will be very happy to see you take care of this patriotic enterprise [...]". - Paul BRUCHÉSI (Montreal 1855-1939), archbishop of Montreal. C.A.S. on his letterhead + visiting card. 1914. - François-Albert ANGERS (Quebec 1909-2003), Quebec economist and nationalist. L.D.S. on his works (1970). Attached is a typescript "Letter from Montreal" (4 pp. in-4, perhaps incomplete at the end) from a French writer visiting Canada, praising Canadian literature and urging closer ties between the cultures of the two countries (1947). Also enclosed is an invitation card to the IVth centenary of the discovery of Canada by Jacques Cartier (1934) + letter from the Comité National Jacques Cartier on the preparation of the festivities.
