CORRÈZE. - Letter from Delmas to the baron of Mirambel (Ussel, 1747), about the possession of a land and his mill. - Note written on a beautiful embossed letterhead of the minor seminary of Servière (XIXth). - Receipt from the Mutual Aid Society of Brive (1886) - 15 autograph letters signed "A. Tassain, née de Lasalle" [Adèle Fortunée de La Salle, wife of Nicolas Tassain], to her friend Amélie. Brive, 1845-1852. 34 pp. in-8. Nice friendly correspondence. Exchanges of invitations with the good society of Brive, family news, events of the time. June 20, 1849: "We have had another close call with the riot, if it had triumphed where would we be? Is it living to be as we are since eighteen months? It is too much of a revolution and cholera [...]". October 8, 1850: "We are well off here, the country is pretty, life is cheap [...]. The women are well brought up, some are witty, they are elegant, but we don't see each other anymore since the last revolution [...]. We still don't have oysters. We have sea fish only 5 months of the year here, and few fresh water fish, Corrèze is de-stocked for having abused. There are many chestnuts, it is the food of the poor [...] ".
