Adolphe BRONGNIART (1801-1876), botanist. Autograph... - Lot 79 - Conan Belleville Hôtel d'Ainay
Adolphe BRONGNIART (1801-1876), botanist. Autograph letter signed to Henri Lecoq. 4 pp. in-8. July 9, 1854. Beautiful letter on Lecoq's work, Étude de la géographie botanique de l'Europe (1854). He received his membership in the Botanical Society of France, which he had just founded. "I did not doubt your eagerness to be of our first nucleus". He evokes the reorganization of the faculties of sciences. "Clermont will have its own and I think that natural history will have you as its representative [...].
