Correspondence of 7 letters from the botanist Henri Baillon to his pupil, the future publisher, Charles Pagnerre, son of Laurent-Antoine, who will take over the publishing house in 1854 at the death of the latter. He submits to him problems of mathematics and sciences (a sketch), gives him advice for his lessons, speaks to him about his hunts, etc. He also evokes his botanical races. "In my races, I found here in the wild the simple porion in bloom, and the orchis apifera in bud. The caltha palustris is also in bloom in all the streams". And also tries to awaken his curiosity in botany. "I send you tobacco seeds that you can sow in pots or in the ground, ad libitum.
