After Hieronymus WIERIX (1553-1619) The Entombment, copperplate engraving attributed to Pierre VAN DER BORCHT. 16th century. Proof on laid paper, pasted on a sheet of bluish laid paper. H. 16,9 cm - L. 11,5 cm. A set of about sixteen engravings is joined, including : A frontispiece relating to a pharmacy (small folio, some defects). A shock of cavalry, after PH. NAPOLITAIN (foxing and spotting). Two plates relating to the months of the year (november and december), margins stained. An engraving representing an antique statue of the BOURGUIGNON. Three ancient portraits, one of Amédée V of Savoy and another of the queen regent Marie de Médicis. A perpetual calendar engraved with dotted lines around 1800 (wetnesses, spidermaps). An engraving of the Augsburg school representing the afternoon, by MARTIN ENGELBRECHT (defects and tears in the margins, heavy dusting). A view of the royal chapel of Versailles by AVELINE (some defects, foxing). A lithograph representing HRH Monseigneur the duke of Bordeaux (foxing and creases). An engraving by JOHAN SADELER.
