[Jean-Charles TARDIEU (1765-1830), history and landscape painter; his works are almost all preserved in public collections.] Mme Tardieu, née Le Machois, his wife. 2 letters A.S. and 1 autograph piece, to M. Le Noir. 3 pp. in-8 and 1 p. in-4. Around 1830. Letters relative to the sale at the Athénée des arts of a portrait realized by her husband. She encloses a "Note of the main paintings by Charles Tardieu ordered or acquired" by the Ministry of the Interior (5), the Ministry of the King's Household (15, in particular for the apartment of Monsieur in Fontainebleau), as well as 5 others acquired by Prince Henry of Prussia, the Duchess of Orleans, Vivant Denon, etc.
