ARCHIVES VOYSIN DE GARTEMPE. About 220 letters from the first half of the 19th century. Important correspondence addressed to Hippolyte Voysin de Gartempe (1794-1839), lawyer general at the Royal Court of Riom, then at the Court of Cassation (1829). Some are addressed to his son Emmanuel Voysin de Gartempe (1825-1894). - Numerous letters of personalities from Auvergne: Pierre-Louis de La Brosse (magistrate, president of the Court of Riom), Count de Montlosier (including one very interesting one, developing his political strategy), Vidal-Deronat, La Ferronaye, Prosper de Barante, Guillaume-Jean Favard de Langlade, Pierre-Antoine Meilheurat (prosecutor of the King, adviser to the court of appeal of Riom and deputy of Allier, numerous letters), Claudius Conchon de Rocheverd, Auguste Pron, Diannyère, Duvivé, Caussin de Perceval, Louis Jarrit Delille (mayor of Guéret and deputy of Creuse), etc. - Numerous letters from the Voysin de Gartempe family, in particular from his parents: Jean-Baptiste Voysin de Gartempe (Guéret 1759/1840), deputy of the Creuse at the Legislative of 1791, magistrate, general councilor of the Creuse since the year IX; and his wife Marie-Geneviève Gabrielle Garaud de Mémanges (many written from Guéret). The family Voysin de Gartempe was indeed native of the Creuse.
