ARCHIVES FONFRÈDE. Archive of about 170 documents, XVIIIth-XIXth. Archive constituted around Joseph-Louis Fonfrède (Agen 1737 - Longwy 1808), infantry officer in the royal regiment Roussillon, settled in Longwy where he married Jeanne Buisson (Longwy 1785-1836) and where his descendants (including Laurent Fonfrède) developed. Set of military and good conduct certificates (revolutionary period), letters, civil status documents, wills, marriage, 19th century copies of genealogical and heraldic information on the family, family correspondence from the Fonfrède family of Agen (Empire period) + correspondence from his brother-in-law based in Spire, Germany (year 13-1807), documents concerning his family (Antoine and Géraud Fonfrède, doctors in Agen), files of documents of the same type on related families: François Buisson (apothecary in Longwy) and Arnould Ambroise Buisson (canon of the collegiate church of Sainte-Marie Magdeleine de Verdun); Ferdinand de Marisy (Moullay en Moselle 1723-1784, maitre de camp); Paul Grenier (general); Etienne Eloy Chaumas (born in Metz, died in Longwy in 1848, doctor of medicine, married to Geneviève-Eugénie Fonfrède); Charles-Louis Leblan (collector of Finances in Briey, married to Barbe Leclerc in 1785).
