HÉRAULT. - About forty handwritten pieces in verse, in Occitan and in French, a certain number dated from Béziers, first half of the XIXth. With erasures and corrections. Some are printed. - Superb diploma of the Archaeological Society of Béziers (1858) for the archaeologist and naturalist Alfred Mandeville from Hérault. - 5 handwritten documents from the XVIIth century : copies of the period concerning the foundation of a chapel in the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Pézenas, 1654-1655. - Eugène Gley (1857-1930), endocrinologist and physiologist, professor at the Collège de France. "The true figure of the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier". Typescript with autograph additions, 20 pp. in-4, [1921]. Speech by Eugène Gley delivered at the Sorbonne, paying tribute to the role played by the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier. - Jean Bézac (Montpellier 1646-1738), physician, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier from 1674 to 1738. Signed piece, on parchment, partly printed, 48 x 30 cm (approximately). Montpellier, February 27, 1716. Rare patent of the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier awarded to Claude Natey for his "Tractatum de structura cerebri" [Treatise on the structure of the brain]. - Request from the son of Antoine Domergue, member of the Academy of painting, of Montpellier, addressed to the viscount of Montmorency, governor of the Palace of Compiègne (1816). - Miscellaneous documents: printed "Notice", from the revolutionary period, announcing the opening of an auction room in the St Cosme hotel in Montpellier. Entrance card for the coronation ceremony in the cathedral basilica of Montpellier on February 24, 1900. L.A.S. from Sister Hyacinthe "procurator of the monastery of St. Ursula of Lodeve (1742, 2 pp. in-4). Long letter from a prisoner (house of arrest of Pézenas, floreal year 3, 6 pp. in-4). Letter from a priest who did not take the oath, followed by a certificate from the hand of the people's representative on mission in the department of Hérault, Jean-Baptiste Girot-Pouzol (1753-1822). Certificate of vaccination (Mèze, 1820). Certificate issued for the former priest of Maugio (year 4). Printed: "Proclamation of the King on a decree of the National Assembly, relative to the citadels, forts and castles which exist at present in the Kingdom & notably to the citadel of Montpellier" (June 18, 1790).
