GOLDEN COAST. Louis BULLIOT (1735-1802).... - Lot 93 - Conan Belleville Hôtel d'Ainay
GOLDEN COAST. Louis BULLIOT (1735-1802). 3 autograph manuscripts signed. In the minutes of the National Convention of 17 frimaire year 3, one can read: "The citizen Louis Bulliot, ex-chanoine of the collegiate church of Semur makes homage to the National Convention of the discovery of a means suitable to relieve the people, that he made at the time of the drought of 1788, by obtaining for him a mill whose work can be done without water, without wind and without arm". In these 3 manuscripts which have for title: "Project of a mill whose engine does not depend on the elements" (for 2 of them) and "Project of mill with lever", Louis Bulliot describes meticulously his invention. Attached is a L.A.S. from Edme RÉGNIER (Semur-en-Auxois 1751-1825), mechanic and inventor (in particular of padlocks and dynamometers), concerning Louis Bulliot's mill (2 pp. in-4).
