Beautiful scientific letter dedicated to hard-boiled eggs: "Here, dear friend, is an example of a hard-boiled egg, recently laid by one of the hens of the Normal School. If you think it would be useful to show the Biological Society this kind of alteration of the shell, I would be happy to have sent it to you. You know that the name of hard-boiled eggs was most probably given to these eggs, because their soft shell is usually provided with these extensions which the vulgar has compared to the link which joins together in a string the eggs of our snakes.
