Albert GEOFFROY SAINT-HILAIRE (1835-1919), zoologist, director of the Jardin d'Acclimatation from 1865 to 1893. Son of Isidore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire and grandson of Etienne. L.S. and L.A.S., addressed to H. Lunel, purveyor of birds of all kinds, settled in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. S.l. and Bois de Boulogne, 21 September 1867 and 4 April 1876. 2 pp. in-8. Printed letterhead of the Jardin Zoologique d'Acclimatation du Bois de Boulogne. "I have received your letter dated the 3rd of this month, in which you indicate the quantity of white peacocks that you can dispose of; but you forget to tell me the price at which you could sell these birds. This is the main point, and I would be obliged to you to inform me about it. "I saw Sutherland in Antwerp, but for want of an intelligent interpreter, I could not make myself understood when I tried to explain your case. My assistance in this matter was therefore absolutely useless []".
