Garrigues DM and Giovanni Fassio (butterfly ex-libris). Small binding defects (rubbed jaws, top cover torn off). Important manuscript of 1845 on butterflies, from a "Manuel de l'amateur de papillons" signed Bellard and dated 1845. The manuscript ends with an alphabetical table of the butterflies described in the book, and a table of chapters. Attached: Manuscript entitled "Livre des Papillons et des Chenilles" by Dr H. Rockstroh "translated from German by P. de La Jousselandière", late 19th c. 36 pp. petit in-4. Small wears on the title page. Unfinished work which includes only the first chapter: "General overview on the history of lepidoptera", with 3 sub-chapters: eggs, caterpillars and pupae.
